At Heritage Asset Management, our goal is to be an advocate and a resource to every client of our firm. We want to be the expert in your corner for all of the financial situations that arise in your journey through life. Our primary business is to manage client investments, but your financial picture is so much more. When you engage our firm, we want to come along side you and give you the confidence to know how to reach your goals and what steps it will take to be successful.
Investment Management
Many American's think of investing as putting money in an account and see what happens. Heritage Asset Management specializes in investment management. We spend a considerable amount of time and energy in this area. We are a discretionary advisory firm that focuses on providing exceptional investment management and advice for every client and every account that we manage. Most people have an understanding of investment management. Quite simply, it means picking what investments to buy, sell, and/or hold. Through our investment advisory agreement, you are granting our firm the authority to manage your investments on your behalf. This is a significant commitment and responsibility. We are not just watching your account. We are actively managing each account based on your objective. In order for either of us to be successful, we both need to know the objectives for your investments. There is a saying, "If you don't know where you are going, you'll never get there". This is especially true in investing. Investment management is a full time job and we take this part very seriously.
Financial Planning and Consulting Services
Our firm offers financial planning and consulting services for a fee. These services are outside the normal investment management relationship and will always be discussed in advance. Below are some examples of these services:
Full Financial Plan: This is a full plan including multiple aspects. A written plan with recommendations will be presented upon plan completion.
Targeted Financial Plan: This is a targeted plan including specific topics chosen by the client. A written plan with recommendations will be presented upon plan completion.
Investment Allocation: This is a service we offer to make allocation recommendations to clients on accounts that are not managed by the firm. For example, if a retirement plan is not managed by the firm, we can make allocation recommendations for this account on a one-time basis. This service is offered at the discretion of the advisor and is limited to clients of the firm. We must have a working knowledge of the client and their goals to make any such recommendations for accounts not held at the firm.
Financial Consultation: This service is offered when a client needs help with a specific situation or maybe just needs advice outside of the investment advisor relationship. If the advisor deems appropriate, these services would be billed either at a flat or hourly rate.
Retirement Services
We offer retirement services to employers on retirement plans. Retirement plans can be complicated and highly regulated. It is important to have an advisor that understands the goals of the business and the business owner as well as the regulatory landscape. Retirement plans can be an excellent benefit for retaining employees. A well implemented retirement plan can be beneficial to both the employer and the participant employees. We offer retirement services to small and mid-sized businesses as well as sole-member and family businesses.
Insurance planning and review
Insurance can often be a major factor in planning. We often will review and advise on insurance products as part of our ongoing relationship. Our goal is to be the most effective advisor to each client. In these cases, insurance falls outside of the investment advisor relationship but can be monumentally important to your financial plan. We have the ability to advise, service, and sell insurance when warranted.
